GEC is proud to be currently building the new Paramount Building in Chilliwack B.C., a joint project between Chilliwack Community Services & BC Housing that was tendered through BC Bid. The building is a six-storey mixed used building consisting of concrete on the first two levels and a wood frame on the top four levels. We are pleased that the project is currently progressing as scheduled and on budget.
The first two floors are built out as office and commercial retail use spaces, with the top floors containing 66 apartment suites. By creating multi-use developments, including office, retail, and residential spaces, we can build more affordable, walkable and engaged communities. With sustainability top-of-mind at GEC, we are proud to be using EcoPact concrete and sustainable wood construction in the project (Step Code 4).
